Determination of the Articles Affected
Use
The articles for which data should be sent are determined via the selection key defined in the control profile. The standard system contains the only selection keys that are possible.
Example
The following examples illustrate which data must be maintained for a particular selection of articles:
Article selection |
Data in the vendor master |
All articles of a vendor |
Control profile with selection key S1 at purchasing organization level |
Articles in a particular vendor sub-range with a suitable RP type. |
Control profile with selection key S 2 at purchasing organization/VSR level |
All articles in a particular merchandise category in a store. |
Control profile with selection key S0 at purchasing organization/VSR/site level (if all articles in the VSR belong to the merchandise category) |

If the system finds the selection key SO in the control profile for an article, the system transfers stock and sales data on the article and also on all other articles in the merchandise category to which the article belongs. This information could be useful, for example, for category management as part of an efficient consumer response (ECR) strategy. The control profile of the article concerned is used as a basis for determining the sales and stock data of the other articles in the merchandise category.
