Displaying Variant Bills of Material 

Prerequisites

The display transaction for bills of material (BOMs) displays a BOM for a specified period of validity. The relevant period of validity must therefore first be defined.

Procedure

  1. In the Technical Objects screen, choose BOM ® <BOM category> ® BOM group ® Display.

    2. You are now on the initial screen for displaying BOM groups.

  2. Enter the required data. The following table is intended as a guide:

    To display a:

    Enter:

    BOM group

    - Plant

    and

    - either BOM group

    - or usage and technical object

    BOM group, valid for a particular change number

    - Plant

    - Change master record number

    and

    - either BOM group

    - or usage and technical object

    BOM group, valid on a particular date

    - Plant

    - Date in the Valid from field

    - Same date in the Valid to field

    and

    - either BOM group

    - or usage and technical object

    BOM group, valid from a particular date

    - Plant

    - Date in the Valid from field

    and

    - either BOM group

    - or usage and technical object

    BOM group, valid to a particular date

    - Plant

    - Date in the Valid to field

    and

    - either BOM group

    - or usage and technical object

     

  3. Choose Continue.

    4. You are now on the screen Summarized BOM.

  4. Use the Goto and Extras menu bar to page through from one screen in the overview to another.
  5. To leave the transaction, use the menu bar sequence BOM group ® Exit.
