Displaying a Resource Hierarchy  

Use

Resources and their assigned hierarchy levels can be displayed both in hierarchy maintenance and in resource maintenance. The resource hierarchy can be displayed as a graphic or in list form.

Hierarchy Graphic

In the hierarchy graphic, the hierarchy structure is displayed in a tree diagram.

When you call up the hierarchy graphic in hierarchy maintenance, you can process the hierarchy structure.

When you call up the hierarchy graphic in resource maintenance, you can only display the hierarchy structure. You cannot process it.

You can set graphic options (colors, partitioning, etc.) by selecting Settings.

Hierarchy List

You have the following display options:

Complete Display

The complete hierarchy structure is displayed from the hierarchy root to the base.

Display from Resource (Explode from Resource)

You can enter any resource from which the hierarchy is exploded downward.

Display from Hierarchy Root to Explosion Level (Explosion Levels)

The hierarchy is displayed from the hierarchy root to a certain hierarchy level.

The settings Explosion Levels and Explode from Resource are only relevant for displaying the hierarchy. They have no effect on capacity cumulation.

Calling up the Hierarchy Graphic in Resource Maintenance

  1. Choose Hierarchy.

The Hierarchy Relationships screen appears.
  1. Choose Goto ® Hierarchy ® Hierarchy graphic

Displaying the Complete Hierarchy Structure

Choose:

All of the resources of the hierarchy are displayed with their hierarchy levels.

Displaying Starting with a Resource

  1. Display the complete hierarchy structure.
  2. Choose Settings ® Start from.
  3. Enter the plant and the resource key and choose .

Displaying from Hierarchy Root to Explosion Level

  1. Display the complete hierarchy structure.
  2. Choose Settings ® Levels.
  3. Enter the number of levels and choose .

In the resources area menu, you can also display hierarchy lists with the standard evaluations or search for resources with certain characteristics in a hierarchy. To do this, choose Reporting ® Resource Hierarchy.

The hierarchy level settings or the hierarchy display explosion from a certain resource has no effect on capacity cumulated using the resource hierarchy. These settings are only relevant for the hierarchy display.
