Adjusting Requirements 

Definition

You use the period of adjustment to define a period in which only customer requirements are included in the planning run. No order proposals are created in the planning run for planned independent requirements that are in the period of adjustment, and for which no confirmed receipts or order proposals are planned.

Define the period of adjustment in the MRP group (consumption mode function) in Customizing for MRP. Assign the MRP group to the material in the material master record.

Procedure

  1. On the Demand Management screen, select Environment ® Indep. reqmts: reorg. ® Adjust requirements.
  2. The initial screen for adjusting requirements appears.

  3. You can limit the scope of reorganization using the following parameters:
  4. In the Key date field, the system displays the value calculated from the reorganization interval.
  5. You can determine whether or not a history is recorded for the requirements adjustment. To record a history, select Record history.
  6. To delete the inactive version, select Delete inactive version before the key date.
  7. If you want a list with detailed information on the requirements adjustment, select Create list.
  8. To use the reorganization function for testing, select Test mode.
  9. Choose Execute.

If you select the Create list field, the system displays a list of the reorganized planned independent requirements.
