Deleting Status Tables and Change Pointers

Use

Use this function to remove unnecessary POS interface - outbound and assortment list data used for controlling system functions, from your SAP system. Examples of this type of data are status lines from logs, change pointers, relevant log records, and IDocs.

Integration

Use reorganization program to delete data for POS interface outbound and for assortments lists. The following tables are affected:

Features

In ideal circumstances, at least one data record per store (recipient) is retained in table WDLS as a reference by the system. This is normally the most up-to-date data record that has not been deleted.

The most up-to-date data record should have DLMOD = U or I status.

U = updating (since the last time it was transferred correctly)

I = initialization

If this data record also has status GESST = X or H, the system deletes all older data records in a reorganization run.

X = contains no errors

H = notes exist

If this data record has different status GESST as X or H has (E, I, W), the system deletes all older data records in a reorganization run.

Then you have to generate a more up-to-date data record with DLMOD = U or I and GESST = X or H.

If the most up-to-date data record has status DLMOD = A (A = direct requisition), the system deletes no data when a reorganization is executed. Status GESST is not importance for this.

The system deletes this data record during the next reorganization and all other data records if no newer data records have been generated with DELMOD = U or I and GESST = X or H.

In assortment lists, rules are used to delete status entries for each assortment list type for which status entries exist separately in table WDLS. Table WDLS contains assortment list types in field SBTYP. Your system manages the status log (tables WDLS and WDLSP) for generating assortment lists according to stores and assortment list types.

The function marks the change points as being available for re-organization. Start the re-organization in the ALE Monitor.
