Procedure
You see the Change Document Revision Level: Initial Screen.
Confirm your entries.
– The upper section of the screen contains the document number, document type, and document part that identify the document.
– In the Revision level dataset, you see which revision level has been assigned to the document versions. You also see the valid-from dates of the revision levels and the change numbers to which they refer.
– You can sort the versions according to various criteria, such as date, change number, or revision level.
Please note the following:
– Each revision level can be assigned only once per document.
– Any value is allowed for external assignment.
– Only revision levels that have been defined in Customizing for the Document Management System under Control Data ® Define revision levels can be used for internal assignment. You can choose the revision level from the possible entries by double-clicking.
