Assigning Maintenance Packages (to Release 4.5A)
Use
You can assign maintenance packages to the individual operations in a maintenance task list. You cannot assign maintenance packages to sub-operations.
The assignment of maintenance packages has been simplified for Release 4.5A. You can also assign maintenance packages as before (up to Release 4.5A).
Prerequisites
You have entered a maintenance strategy in the header of the maintenance task list (see second step).
Procedure
You are now on the General maintenance task lists: Maintenance package overview screen.
The Maintenance package overview screen is displayed.
You can assign maintenance packages to a task list operation in two ways:
If you do not know the maintenance packages in the assigned strategy, use the menu bar sequence Extras
A dialog box is displayed with all the maintenance packages from the strategy.
Select the packages you want to assign and choose Copy.
You return to the screen MaintPackage overview. The system enters all the selected maintenance packages for the operation you selected.
If you know which maintenance packages are contained in your assigned maintenance strategy, you can enter the key for the package you require in the field Cycle ShrtTxt and choose Continue.
The system will enter data from the maintenance strategy, for example, package number, cycle text, hierarchy short text.

Once you have assigned maintenance packages to operations, you cannot change the maintenance strategy assigned to your maintenance task list.
You will go to the screen for the next selected operation where you can assign maintenance packages as described in step 5.
