Creating Material for Production Resources/Tools 

To create production resources/tools (PRT) as a material, you must create a material master record and maintain the Production Resources/Tools view.

PRT data is defined for each plant.

To create a material master record for a PRT, perform the following seven steps:

  1. In the Maintenance Task Lists menu, use the menu bar sequence Environment ® Production resources/tools

    2. followed by the menu bar sequence

    Production resources/tools ® Material ® Create.

    The initial screen for creating a material master record is displayed.

  2. Make all the necessary entries.

The material type controls the entry fields that are ready for input on the screen and the views to be maintained. You must enter a material type, for which maintenance of the production resources/tools view is allowed.
  1. Press ENTER .

    2. The dialog box Select view(s) is displayed.

  2. Select the view Production resources/tools, and press Continue.

    3. The dialog box Organizational levels/Profiles is displayed.

  3. In the dialog box, enter the plant to which the PRT is allocated and press ENTER or Data.

    4. The screen Production resources/tools is displayed.

  4. Make all the necessary entries.

  5. Save the material master record by using the menu bar sequence Material ® Save.
