Classifying Production Resources/Tools

This procedure describes how to classify a production resource/tool (PRT) with a PRT master record (miscellaneous).

Prerequisites

The class to which you want to assign the production resource/tool (PRT) has been created with class type 009 Production resources/tools in the classification system; see CA - Classification Guide.

Procedure

Choose Logistics ® Production ® Master data ® Production resources/tools and then Prod. resources/tools PRT master (misc.) ® Change.

Enter the PRT key and choose

Choose Class overview and if necessary choose a class type.

Enter the class to which you want to assign the production resource/tool. This class must belong to class type 009 Production resources/tools.

Choose Edit ® Values.

A list with the class characteristics that are assigned to the PRT class is displayed.

Assign values that are valid for the selected production resource/tool to the characteristics.

Save the PRT.

Result

The production resource/tool is assigned to the class. You can now search for the production resource/tool using the class or its characteristics.
