Maintain Access
Sequences
In this IMG activity you define the
sequences.
The access sequence is a search strategy that
the R/3 System uses to find valid output condition records.
To define an access sequence, you need to make
the following entries:
- Access sequence
Alphanumeric key with up to 4 places to uniquely identify an access
sequence
- Description
Text for describing an access sequence
- Detail data (only the most important detailed
data are included; you can find more information in the field
help):
- Running number
Running number of the access within an access sequence
- Table
Condition table containing the key fields for output
condition records.
Requirements
Your R/3 System is configured as an
SAP
Retail System.
Recommendation
- To create a new access sequence, copy a
similar existing access sequence and make the necessary changes.
- When you define your own access sequences, the
key should begin with Y or Z as SAP has kept these names free in the standard
delivery.
Activities
1. Check
whether you can use the access sequences in the SAP standard system and how
much you need to change them.
2. Define your
access sequences.
