Setting/Removing Time Constraints in the Graphic Area
When you move the time bar of the activities, the system automatically sets the constraints "no earlier than/no later than..."
1. Select the activity for which you want to set a time constraint.
2. Choose Edit
® Object ® Activity ® Set constraint start or Set constraint fin. By choosing start_fin. you can set both dates at the same time.Choose Edit

If you want to create a time bar for a project object press and hold the mouse button and draw a time bar. The time bar is inserted.

If you only create one date, that is, a start or a finish date, it is displayed as a circle not a time bar. You can create a time bar from it.
The default values from the planning board profile apply for the duration, work and unit in activities. You can change the default values by selecting Settings
® Options.
If you select several sets of dates, you must specify when you insert the date bar for which set of dates it is valid for. However, you can shift existing date bars.
Setting Milestone Dates
If you want to maintain a date or date and time for a milestone,
Hold the mouse button and draw a short time bar.
The position where you first positioned the mouse pointer is the date or date and time for the milestone. The system inserts the symbol for the milestone here.
Shifting a Time Bar in the Graphic Area
1. Position the mouse pointer.

On the left half of the time bar, if you want to change the start of the project object.-
On the right half of the time bar, if you want to change the finish of the project object.The mouse pointer takes the form of a double arrow.

On the middle of the date bar, if you want to change both the start and finish of the project object.The mouse pointer takes the form of a double arrow.
2. Press and hold the mouse button, while you move the mouse to the left or to the right.
You can determine in Customizing whether the date is displayed in a dialog box and in the status line in the lower border of the screen when you move the time bar.
When you release the mouse button, the time bar is lengthened or shortened correspondingly.

Duration of activities
Scheduled dates of WBS elements and activity elements cannot be shifted. If you make changes which affect dates, they receive the system status that rescheduling is necessary.
