Consistency Checks for Production Versions

Use

You use this function to check whether the data of a production version is consistent with the data of the assigned task lists/master recipes and the assigned alternative BOM. In this way, you make sure that a valid task list or valid BOM really exists for the entire validity period of the production version.

Features

For a production version to be consistent, it must meet the following requirements:

The task lists/recipes and the alternative BOM it contains are continuously available for the entire validity period of the production version.
The deletion flag has not been set for them.
The material of the production version has been assigned to the task lists/master recipes.
The lot-size range of the production version is contained in the lot-size range of the task lists/recipes and alternative BOM.

This applies to all change statuses of the task lists/recipes and the alternative BOM contained in the production version’s validity period.

If the production version does not meet all of these requirements, the system generates a corresponding error or warning message in the check result.

If required, you can update the check status of the production version. This means that the recipe, task list, or BOM are assigned one of the following statuses in the production version:

Last check o.k.

Last check with warning

Last check with error

You can check the data consistency of the production version as follows:

For individual production versions of a recipe or material (see Editing Production Versions)

For all production versions of a material, alternative BOM, or recipe (see Checking Production Versions (Mass Function))

The system does not automatically lock a production version for all usages if the check result is negative. However, you can set the lock indicator manually if you want to (see Editing Production Versions).
