Use
This section provides information on archiving and deleting data in SAP Retail. Data referring to transactions that have been completed can be removed from the database if the data is no longer required. This saves resources and helps improve performance. A distinction is made between:
In many cases, you need to be able to still read data even after it has been removed. Data like this is archived. It is copied to an external storage medium and then removed from the database. You use archiving objects to find the data to be archived, save them to an archive and then delete them from the database.
If data is no longer required for late analysis, it does not have to be archived. In this case, all you have to do is delete the data from the database. The relevant programs and transactions are available for this.
