Maintaining Individual Capacities for Capacities  

Use

Individual capacities are used for detailed planning in capacity requirements planning. You can, for example, divide a resource capacity into several individual resources and maintain available capacities for each resource. Capacity requirements can be distributed to different individual capacities. Individual capacities have the same capacity categories as the capacity to which they are assigned.

The CapCatPers indicator may not be set for the capacity category in Customizing for Resources if you want to create individual capacities.

You can maintain the available capacity of an individual capacity in the resource capacity or pooled capacity according to its capacity category.

Procedure

  1. Choose Goto ® Indiv. capacities on the Header screen in capacity maintenance.

The Assignments to Individual Capacities screen appears on which you can define as many individual capacities as you want.

  1. If you want to maintain the available capacity of an individual capacity, position the cursor on the individual capacity and choose.

The Header screen appears on which you can maintain the data for the selected individual capacity.

If the Maintained indicator is set for an individual capacity, an available capacity is already maintained.

If no available capacity is maintained for an individual capacity, the system calculates the available capacity from the operating time of the corresponding capacity.
