Resource Assignment to HR Objects  

Prerequisites

You can assign a resource to the personnel system (HR) in two ways:

Resource Assignment to the Personnel System (HR)

  1. In resource maintenance, choose Goto ® HR assignment.
  2. If the resource is already assigned to HR, the Organization Structure screen appears, which displays the existing assignments. If this is an assignment to an HR work center, you can maintain further assignments, for example, to persons (see next paragraph).

  3. If you have not maintained an assignment to HR, specify on the Assignment to HR Organizational Entity screen whether you want to assign the resource to an HR work center or to an HR organizational unit.

Enter the name of the HR work center or the HR organization structure. If required, choose HR work center to create a new work center in HR.

The Organization Structure screen appears and you can assign HR objects, such as persons or qualifications, to the resource by making an assignment to an HR work center.

You can delete the resource assignment to HR by choosing Edit ® Delete HR assignment on the Organization Structure screen.

Resource Assignment to Persons, Positions, Requirement Profiles

  1. If no assignments exist, assign the resource to an HR work center (see last section).
  2. On the Organization Structure screen, choose the type of HR object you want to assign the resource to (for example, person), and choose Edit ® Create relationship.
  3. Enter the name of the HR object and the relationship period of the assignment, and choose Copy.

Resource Assignments to Qualifications

  1. If no assignments exist, assign the resource to an HR work center (see section before last).
  2. On the Organization Structure screen, choose Edit ® Qualifications.
  3. Choose .
  4. The Qualifications dialog box appears.

  5. Select the qualifications and choose .
  6. Maintain the validity periods and data for the qualifications if required.
  7. Choose .
  8. Choose .

Result

The assignment to the HR object is created.

On the Organization Structure screen, the assigned positions, persons, and requirement profiles are displayed:

Except for the descriptive text, you can hide or show any of this information by choosing View.

You can delete an assignment to an HR object by choosing Edit ® Delete Assignment.
