Shop Floor Information System 

The shop floor Information System is a component of the Logistics Information System. If the LIS (logistics information system) statistics have been activated for an order type in Customizing, you can analyze data related to the corresponding orders using the shop floor information system. Of the actual process data reported in the process messages, the shop floor information system can only access information posted to the order and information posted to inventory management via a goods receipt or issue.

You can access the shop floor information system from the process order menu (see Access Shop Floor Information System).

The above document describes the shop floor information system for the production planning module PP. For this reason, instead of the PP-PI objects process order and resource, it refers to production orders and work centers. The standard analyses for PP-PI are, however, the same as for the corresponding PP objects.
