Executing a Deletion Program 

Prerequisites

If the deletion program is not automatically called after the first archive file has been created (see archive Customizing, Deletion Program Settings), you must start the deletion program manually. Wait until all archive files have been created before you do this.

You have the following options:

Process an entire archiving run with all created archive files

Select individual archive files

Procedure

  1. In the SAP menu, choose Logistics ® Production - Process ® Master Data ® Master Recipes ® Recipe and Material List ® Delete Recipes ® With Archiving.

    2. The initial screen for archive administration appears.

  2. Enter archiving object PI_PLAN and choose Delete.

    3. The Archive Administration: Execute Deletion Program screen appears.

  3. Choose Archive selection.

    4. A dialog box appears with all of the archive runs that exist for archiving object PI_PLAN. Usually this is the last archive run you carried out.

  4. To delete a complete archive run, select the archive run and choose .

    5. To delete specific archive files only, choose Display files.
    You see all archive runs that have not yet been deleted along with their archive files. Select the desired archive files and continue Continue.

  5. Choose Start date and enter the start date for the deletion.
  6. Choose Spool params. and enter the spool parameters.
  7. Choose .

The selected master recipes are deleted in the background for the start date. After the deletion program is complete, the system creates a standard log.
