Replacing Production Resources/Tools (Mass Changes) 

You use this procedure to replace a production resource/tool (PRT) in several or all master recipes at once.

Procedure

  1. In the SAP menu, choose Logistics ® Production - Process ® Master Data ® Master Recipes ® Mass Changes ® Recipe ® Replace PRT.

    2. A selection screen for PRTs of category Material appears.

  2. If you want to replace a different PRT category, choose PRT category and then select the desired category.
  3. Enter the following data:

The key date as of which it is to be valid (see Engineering Change Management and Recipe Approval).
  1. Choose Settings ® Replace with and the category of the new PRT. Enter the data of the new PRT and choose Copy.
  2. Choose the overview variant you want to use to display the selected recipes.

    3. Choose Choose overview var., enter the overview variant, and choose .

  3. Choose .

    4. A list with the PRT assignments that use the old PRT appears.

  4. Before replacing the PRT, carry out the following steps according to your requirements:

To do so, select the PRT assignment and choose Delete PRT.

To do so, choose Settings ® Change replace mode.
Make settings as required and choose Copy.

To do so, choose Settings ® Replace with and the PRT category of the new PRT.
  1. Select the PRT assignments in which you want to use the new PRT and choose Replace PRT.

If you have chosen Replace with batch input session in your settings (see step 7), the system now creates a batch input session.
You can run this session any time you like. For more information, see the SAP Library BC - System Services, section Batch Input Sessions.

If you have chosen Online, the old PRT is now replaced in the selected PRT assignments. Depending on your system settings, the following screens are displayed:
  1. If errors are displayed online, correct them and choose or Enter to continue with mass replacement.
  2. Check the log for errors that might have occurred during replacement (see Displaying the Error Log for Mass Changes).
  3. Check and correct the detail data of the changed PRT assignments (see Displaying or Changing Data of Selected Recipes).
