The system uses this function in master recipe or process order scheduling to determine the start or finish dates of the operations.

Operations are not scheduled separately. Their dates are derived from the corresponding phase dates as follows (see graphic below):

• The operation start date corresponds to the start date of the first phase.
• The operation finish date corresponds to the finish date of the last phase.
