Configurable Master Recipes: Example 

Initial situation

At a production line, fruit drops are produced in the three different flavors lemon, apple, and peppermint. The peppermint drop also receives an additional chocolate coating.

The configurable material drops has been created in the R/3 System. The class drops along with the characteristic flavor has been allocated to this material via its configuration profile. In production planning, you must now create a master recipe for manufacturing the drops.

Procedure

  1. You create a master recipe that contains the following data:

Result

The required drop variant, for instance, peppermint drops, can be specified in the sales order via the configuration characteristics.

When the sales order is converted, the required recipe objects are selected according to the object dependencies and are copied to the process order. In our example, this would be:
