You can check process instructions for the R/3 PI sheet in the master recipe by simulating the relevant part of the PI sheet and maintaining it as a test. Depending on the control recipe destination, the system simulates an ABAP list-based PI sheet or a browser-based PI sheet. However, note the following restrictions when maintaining simulated PI sheets:

• In the simulated PI sheet, the system displays an input field for hidden process instruction characteristics that do not yet have a value. This field is then no longer displayed in the PI sheet after you have assigned a value to the characteristic in the process order.
• You cannot perform functions that need order-specific data (such as inspection results requests).
• You can execute function calls in the display mode only.
• The system does not create process messages from the simulation.
