Assigning Test Equipment to Inspection Characteristics 

Prerequisites

Production resources/tools (PRT) you want to use as test equipment must be assigned to the same operation or phase as the inspection characteristic in the master recipe.

Procedure

  1. On the operation overview of the master recipe, select the operation or phase whose inspection characteristics you want to edit.
  2. Choose .
  3. Select the inspection characteristic to which you want to assign test equipment.
  4. Choose Control indicators... and then .

    5. The second dialog box containing control indicators appears.

  5. In the Miscellaneous group box, set the Assign.TestEquipment indicator and choose .

    6. The system takes you back to the characteristic overview.

  6. Proceed as follows:

If you want to assign test equipment directly to the inspection characteristic:
    1. Choose .
    2. In the Test equipment field in the Reference group box, enter the item number of the PRT that you want to use as a piece of test equipment.

      3. If you want to assign different pieces of test equipment for each header material/inspection characteristic combination:

    3. Choose Dependent characteristic specs.
    4. If the required header material is still not displayed in the overview, choose , position the cursor on the material and choose Choose.
    5. Go to the line of the inserted material in the overview.
    6. In the Test equipment column, enter the item number of the PRT that you want to use as a piece of test equipment.
