Assigning PRTs to Operations/Phases

Prerequisites

The production resource/tool (PRT) must have a master record in the system. Depending on the PRT category, the following additional conditions must be met:

Materials, equipment, and documents must be released for use as production resources/tools in their status.
PRTs with a PRT master record (miscellaneous) must be released for resource planning in their status.
PRTs with material master records, PRT master records, or equipment master records must be intended for use in master recipes in their task list usage.

Procedure

On the operation overview of the master recipe, select the operation or phase to which you want to assign PRTs.

Choose

QM.

If you have already assigned PRTs to this operation or phase, the PRT overview for the operation or phase appears.

In this case, choose and the category of the PRT you want to assign.

If no PRTs have yet been assigned, the dialog box for PRTs of category Material appears.

If you want to assign a different PRT category, choose the corresponding function key.

Enter the PRT key as well as the item number and the basic data for PRT assignment.

Since PRTs cannot be used in process orders at the moment, the basic data does not have any functional significance.

If you want to assign more PRTs, choose and the PRT category you want to assign. Repeat step 3.

After you have finished assigning PRTs, choose Back.

If you want to enter further detail data, double-click the PRTs on the PRT overview and enter data as required on the corresponding tab page.

Since PRTs cannot be used in process orders at the moment, this data does not have any functional significance

To enter a long text for a PRT, select the PRT on the PRT overview and choose .
