When creating or changing a production resource/tool (PRT), you can determine whether it is freely available by using the corresponding status. You can thus temporarily lock a PRT, for example, because it is defective. The status is taken into account when you:

When you check PRT availability in production orders, maintenance orders, or networks:

Releasing a PRT for production does not yet have a functional significance in PP-PI (production planning for process industries) as PRTs cannot be used in the process order at the moment.
