Classifying PRTs 

This procedure describes how you classify a production resource/tool (PRT) with a PRT master record (miscellaneous).

Prerequisites

The class to which you want to assign the PRT has been created with class type 009 Production resources/tools in the classification system (see CA - Classification Guide).

Procedure

  1. In the SAP menu, choose Logistics ® Production Process ® Master Data ® Production Resources/Tools ® Production Resources/Tools ® PRT Master (Misc.) ® Change.
  2. Enter the PRT key and choose .
  3. Choose Classification.
  4. Enter the class of class type 009, production resources/tools to which you want to assign the production resource/tool and choose .

    5. A list containing the class characteristics appears.

  5. Enter characteristic values that are valid for the selected PRT.
  6. Save the PRT.

Result

The production resource/tool is assigned to the class. You can now find the production resource/tool by searching for its class or class characteristics.
