In Customizing for Resources under Define Field Selection, you can define the characteristics of selected data fields on the resource maintenance screens. You can specify how specific data fields are displayed.

The following data fields exist:

• Input fields
• Required input fields
• Display fields
• Hidden fields
• Highlighted fields

You can decide whether the fields are to be modifiable or influencing for each screen group. Some examples of screen groups are:

• Cost center assignment
• Basic data
• Default values
• Scheduling
• Capacities

The work center category is an influencing value in the resource. This is the category that is used as a reference when you define field selection in Customizing.

1. Enter the standard key SAP1 in the default resource for resource category 0008.
2. Then set the field Standard value key for resource category 0008 to display ("Disp") in the field selection.
