Processing Shifts  

Prerequisites

You are on the Intervals for Available Capacity screen. The shifts are displayed.

Procedures

Showing and Hiding Shifts

  1. Choose Only intervals.

All shifts are hidden and operating times and available capacities for each interval of available capacity are displayed.

  1. Choose Intervals and shifts.

All shifts are shown and operating times and available capacities for each shift are displayed.

Data for Maintaining a Shift

Enter the following data:

Adding Shifts

  1. Select one of the shifts of the day to which you want to add a shift.
  2. Choose Shift.
  3. A line appears in which you can make entries.

  4. Enter data on the shift and choose .

The shift is added.

Adding Shift Sequences

  1. Enter the grouping in which the shift sequence was created on the Header screen in capacity maintenance.
  2. Choose Intervals and shifts. The Intervals of Available Capacity screen appears.
  3. In the table for the intervals of available capacity, enter a shift sequence in the Shift sequence field and choose .

The shift sequence is added.

Adding a Shift According to a Shift Definition

  1. Enter the grouping in which the shift definition was created on the Header screen in capacity maintenance.
  2. Choose Intervals and shifts. The Intervals of Available Capacity screen appears.
  3. In the line of a shift in the Shift definition field, enter a shift definition and choose .

The system writes the time of the shift start and finish as well as the duration of the breaks of the shift definition in the shift line.

If you later want to change these values manually, you must first delete the entry in the Shift definition field.

Creating a Shift for a Weekday with no Shifts

Select a shift of the preceding weekday and choose Day.

The system creates a new line for the shift on the weekday.

Deleting a Shift

Select the line of the shift and choose .

The system deletes the selected shift.

Selecting all Shifts with a Certain Characteristic

  1. Enter the characteristic (for example, utilization rate of 50%) with which you want to search.
  2. Select the characteristic column in the table and choose Edit ® Select default values.

The system automatically selects all intervals that have the characteristic (for example, all intervals with a utilization rate of 50%).

Changing a Certain Characteristic for a Larger Number of Shifts

  1. Select all shifts that have the characteristic you want to change (It is a good idea to use the procedure above).
  2. Enter the new value of the characteristic (for example, utilization rate of 75%).
  3. Select the characteristic column in the table and choose Default values.

The system changes the characteristic in all selected shifts to the new value.
