Assignments to Objects in the Personnel System (HR)
Definition
Assignments link objects from the personnel system (HR), such as a person or a qualification, to a resource or capacity in Logistics (LO).
Use
HR object assignments allow you, for example, to specify employees and the minimum qualification for the resource or the capacity in Logistics.
Structure
For each assignment, you must enter a valid time period. A position or a person can only be assigned to one resource or capacity at a time.
Resource Assignments to HR Objects
You can either make a resource assignment to an HR organizational unit or to an HR work center. If you make a resource assignment to an HR work center, you can link the resource to the following HR objects:
You can assign people to a resource to specify which employees are to work at this specific resource.
Established and approved posts are positions. You can make a resource assignment to a position to document that the resource belongs to this position. As a rule, this is a labor resource.
You can assign qualifications to a resource to establish the minimum education or skill-level required of an employee who is to work at this resource.
A requirements profile contains several qualifications.
Capacity Assignments to HR Objects
Resource capacities and pooled capacities can be linked directly to HR objects, such as people and positions. Capacity assignments cannot be made to HR organizational units and HR work centers.
Integration
Resources and capacities in Logistics can only be linked to HR objects if the personnel system (HR) is in use.
