Define Partner Schemas

In this step, you define your partner schemas.

Partner schemas allow you to group together different partner roles. You can specify:

• that certain roles in a schema are mandatory

• that partner roles cannot be changed once they have been entered

• whether the partner role is determined at the beginning or at the end of the document creation process

• whether the system searches for partners at higher levels if no partner can be determined at a given level.

If the user does not make enter one of the stipulated mandatory roles when creating a purchasing document, the system issues a message to this effect.
