Defining Update Rules for a Formula 

Prerequisites

Use the update rules you have defined for this purpose.

Maintaining Update Rules

  1. Choose the menu bar sequence Logistics Data Warehouse ® Updating ® Updating Definition ® Specific Definition Using Update Rules ® Maintain update rules in the Customizing function of the Logistics Information System.
  2. Follow the method described in the Implementation Guide (IMG),

observing the following definitions, as these must paste the previously-defined formulas in order to update self-defined value and/or quantity key figures.

Pasting Self-Defined Formulas

  1. Creating update rules brings you to the screen Updating.

Enter the following data:

  1. Enter the formula you have defined for the corresponding key figure in the field Formula and choose Transfer.

Result

If you generate update rules according to their complete definition and activate the updating of the information structure, a self-defined analysis based on the generated information structure is possible in the Plant Maintenance Information System.
