Editing the Layout of Detail Screens 

Prerequisite

The procedure described below is valid for network and work breakdown structure maintenance as well as for structure planning and the project planning board.

Procedure

1. Choose:

- In work breakdown structure maintenance: Extras ® Settings ® Layout detail screens

- In network maintenance: Edit ®Settings ®Layout detail screens

- In structure planning or the project planning board:

Settings ® Layout detail screens ® For WBS element or For activity

If no user settings exist or there is only one setting for the current project or network profile, the Change Detail Screens:Details screen appears. In this case, continue with step 3. The settings that you make here are assigned to the current project or network profile.

In structure planning or in the project planning board there can be several networks in a project and therefore several network profiles. If there are no user settings for the layout of the activity detail screens and you want to create a layout, the profile of the first network activity is the current network profile.

If there are already user settings, the screen Change Layout Detail Screens: Overview appears.

2. Choose one of the following functions.

  1. Choose Edit ® Create.
  2. Specify the project profile or the network profile whose layout you want to define. Enter the activity type too.

Change layout

  • Select an entry in the list
  • Choose Edit ® Display details
  •  

    The screen Change Detail Screen: Details appears . All the available tab pages are displayed.

    If you are creating a new layout, these tab pages are empty at first. You can redefine them completely or enter values on the pages in one of the ways described below and then change these entries.

    - By choosing Edit ® Copy standard, you copy the standard SAP settings.

    - By choosing Edit ® Copy Customizing, you copy the Customizing settings for the same profile to the tab pages.

    3. Edit the tab pages as follows:

    a. Enter a new title or change the existing title of a tab page. If required, also choose an icon to appear on the tab.

    b. Set the Active tab page indicator on the tab page. If you want the tab page to appear on top as the first tab page, also set the First tab page indicator.

    c. You can select the detail screens that you want to include on the current tab page one-by one in the right-hand list and copy them to the left. You proceed in this manner with further detail screens.

    4. Save your data.

    In networks some activity detail screens are required by the application. If you have not included then on the tab pages in your layout, they will be automatically included by the system on a separate tab page, called Necessary fields.
