Setting up Calculation of Actual Capacity Requirements

Use

You can use this procedure to specify whether actual capacity requirements are calculated from confirmations of quantities or activities and how they are calculated.

The system calculates actual capacity requirements from:

Activities by making each actual capacity requirement of an activity identical

Quantities by using the formulas to calculate the respective capacity requirements. You must have entered these formulas on the Capacities tab page.

Procedure

Select a capacity category for which the actual capacity requirements are to be calculated on the Capacities tab page in the resource.

Choose ActCapReqmnts.

The Settings for Determining the Actual Capacity Requirements dialog box appears.

Set the Calc. actual cap. reqmts indicator.

If the actual capacity requirements are to be calculated from activities:

Enter one activity for each actual capacity requirement in Actual capacity requirements from activities. Determine the standard value parameter that identifies the corresponding activity.

You can display the standard value parameter of the resource by choosing the F4 help.
