Definition

With this authorization object you can limit the maintenance of goods movements using the storage location of a plant.

Note that this authorization object is only checked if you activate the authorization check for storage locations in the corresponding step in Customizing ( Authorization check for storage locations ).

Defined Fields

The authorization object contains four fields:

• Activity: defines whether the user:

• Movement type: defines the movement types you can use to to maintain goods movements.

• Storage location: defines which storage locations in which plant you may maintain.

• Plant: defines which plants the user may maintain.

In the various authorizations for this object, you therefore define which movement types the user may maintain using which activities and in which storage locations and which plants.

Example

Use A may enter, change and display goods movements in all storage locations and all plants using all movement types. The corresponding authorization is:

• Activity '01-03' or '*'

• Movement type '*'

• Storage location '*'

• Plant '*'

User B may only display goods movements using all movement types in storage location 0001 in plant 0002. The corresponding authorization is:

• Activity '03'

• Movement type '*'

• Storage location '0001'

• Plant '0002'

User C may only enter, change, and display goods movements using movement types 501 and 502 in storage location 0001 of plant 0001. In this storage location, therefore user C may only post goods receipts without a purchase order into the warehouse or reverse them. The corresponding authorization is:

• Activity '01-03' or '*'

• Movement type '501-502'

• Storage location '0001'

• Plant '0001'
