Creating Store Groups 

Use

Use the Best Practice Scenario for Merchandise and Assortment Planning to plan at store group level. Use store groups to indicate, for example, how strong sales are for the stores within each group in a particular merchandise category.

Activities

Use the sequence detailed below to run the following activities in Customizing for Merchandise and Assortment Planning:

  1. Define the store group key and the store group description.
  2. Create assignments:

Example

Stores are to be split into three groups according to the sales for each merchandise category.

0 - 200,000 €

Group 2

200,000 - 500,000 €

Group 3

500,000 + €

Store 1 records annual sales of approximately 300,000 € with merchandise category A. Store 1 can therefore be assigned to group 2.
