Entering Stocks in SAP Retail Store
Use
You can use this function to enter quantities for goods that you manage in stock on a value-only basis. It is particularly important for the revaluation of existing stocks after prices have been changed, for example at the beginning or end of a promotion.
The program allows you to process a count list that contains all articles that are managed in stock on a value-only basis, that have a new retail price on a particular date, and that have not yet be revaluated at retail.
Prerequisites
The settings for retail price changes must have been made. For further information, see Materials Management in the implementation guide (IMG) under Valuation and account determination, section Valuation at retail and Value-only inventory management.
Procedure
You can select a count list for:
In this case, the count should take place in the morning, before the start of business, as otherwise articles that have already been sold are not counted, and are therefore not revaluated.
In this case, the count should take place in the evening, after the close of business, as otherwise articles that were sold on the current day at the old retail price may be counted and revaluated.
You can process the count list for a date in the past if the count for this date has to be entered subsequently. The count list for a date in the future can be processed on a weekend, if, for example the count for a Monday is carried out on Saturday.
On the left-hand side of the screen, the system displays an overview of all merchandise categories to which the articles in the requested count list belong.
On the right-hand side of the screen, the system displays the items of the requested count list.
You can print out the list first, and then enter the count quantities.
The system adopts the entered quantities.

If errors occur during posting (because of a block, for example), you are advised to print out the entered data and contact your head office, where the entered data can be released.
Results
The value of the article subject to inventory management is adjusted.
