Features

There are fewer functions available for entering goods receipts in SAP Retail Store than in the SAP System. This makes entry of data in the store more efficient.

The following functional restrictions apply in SAP Retail Store compared to the standard transactions in the SAP System:

You can enter goods receipt data using a PDC unit. In this case, you enter a PDC file for further processing. SAP Retail Store reads the articles and quantities from the file and post them in the SAP System. The system generates a purchase order for the articles and quantities in the background, if necessary.

You can also load reference documents to the PDC unit (download).

You can also create a file containing information on goods receipts that you receive from the SAP System, and load this to the PDC unit. For further information on PDC files, see PDC File Format for Goods Receipt in SAP Retail Store.

The system requires the Materials Management and Inventory Management functions of the SAP System to post data and update inventory.
