This conversion report helps you convert the settings previously defined for the withdrawal sequence group in a previous release to the stock determination rules and thereby use the new function of Stock Determination.
Withdrawal sequence groups: 0001, 0002,
0003
Plant: 0001
Stock determination rule: ABCD
After you have carried out the conversion report with these selection criteria, the system creates three stock determination groups for plant 0001 (0001, 0002 and 0003) and a stock determination rule: ABCD. Thus, three new strategies are created (plant/stock determination rule/stock determination group): 0001/ABCD/0001;0001/ABCD/0002; 0001/ABCD/0003.
The system converts the existing withdrawal sequence groups to stock determination groups at plant level. You enter the stock determination rule to be created on the initial screen. This then creates new stock determination strategies corresponding to the combination options (see example above).
To activate stock determination, you now only have to assign the stock determination rule to the appropriate business operation.
