Define Withdrawal Sequence for BOM Withdrawal

In this step, you specify for each material group the withdrawal sequence for goods issues against bills of material (BOMs).

For each material group, you can specify the stock from which the requested quantity is to be withdrawn:

Example

You want to define a sequence group 0001 for withdrawal in the specified sequence from the following stocks:

1. Consignment stock
2. Unrestricted-use stock.

In this case, you define the following entries:
Group 0001 Sequence 01 Withdrawal type 02 (consignment)
Group 0001 Sequence 02 Withdrawal type 01 (unrestricted-use stock)

For a withdrawal with reference to a BOM, the system first attempts to take the material from consignment stock. If no consignment price record exists for the material, the system takes the latter from unrestricted-use stock.

Standard Settings

The following groups are defined in the standard SAP R/3 System:

Recommendation

You should work with the standard SAP R/3 System. In this case you do not have to carry out any action.

Activities

1. Define the withdrawal sequence for each group.
2. Assign materials to the desired group. You can find the withdrawal sequence group in the MRP data of the material master record.

Further Notes

If the system does not find a withdrawal sequence for a material, withdrawals are made from unrestricted-use stock.
