Delivery

In this IMG activity you assign a stock determination rule to a delivery item category.

There are 4 possible scenarios in delivery processing:

• No stock determination using stock determination module

• Perform stock determination in WM during picking

• Manually pre-define the vendor in LEAN-WM during confirmation

• Stock determination is performed by goods issue

Requirements

You need a strategy for stock determination. The stocks are reduced in accordance with this strategy. The withdrawal strategy is assigned to the combination of stock determination rule (delivery item category) and stock determination group (material master record). You can define the strategy in the following place in Customizing: Define strategies for stock determination .

If you have maintained the stock determination group in the material master record and the stock determination rule entry in the delivery item category, stock determination is carried out as follows:

• WM installed - WM performs stock determination

• LEAN-WM active - A vendor can be entered during the confirmation process, as the transfer order becomes a delivery.

• No WM/no LEAN-WM active - goods issue performs stock determination
