Shifts

The following data defines the available capacity of a shift:

Shift start, shift finish, break times
The rate of capacity utilization
Number of individual capacities

The shift start, shift finish, and break times can be maintained manually in the interval for available capacity.

You can also use shift definitions and shift sequences, which you create for all resources in Customizing for Resources under Define Shift Sequence.

Rules for the Sequence of Shifts

Shifts may not overlap.

A shift belongs to the day on which it begins.

A shift that begins on Monday at 11 p.m. and ends on Tuesday at 7 a.m. is the last shift for Monday (not the first shift for Tuesday).
