Printer
Determination
In this section, you specify the printers on
which output is printed out.
The following types of printer determination
are available:
- Manual entry of a printer for a goods movement
or in the function "Process output"
- Fixed definition of a printer in the
condition
- Flexible printer determination for the
following parameters:
- Output type / plant / storage
location
- Output type / plant / storage location / user
group
The printer is always determined as
follows:
1. If you enter
a printer manually for a goods movement or in the function "Process output",
the output will be printed out on this printer.
2. If you do
not enter a printer manually, but a fixed printer is specified in the
condition, the output will be printed out on this printer.
3. If you do
not enter a printer manually and a printer is not specified in the condition,
the system uses the following parameters to search for a printer, depending on
the print parameters of the output type (7 or 9):
- Plant / storage location / user
group
4. If the
output is not printed out immediately, you can still change the printer
manually using the function "Process output" or in the spool
file.
Time of
printout
The time of printout determines whether a print
job (spool file) is created straightaway for the output or whether the output
should be printed out at a later stage (using the function "Process
output").
You can specify the time of printout at two
points:
- In the output type condition
Instant printout
The instant printout indicator determines
whether the print job is executed immediately or whether the output is first
placed only in the spool file.
You can maintain the instant printout indicator
as well as the other spool parameters at different points:
- Manually upon entering the goods movement or
with the function "Process output"
- In the output type condition
- In the table for printer determination by
plant/storage location or plant/storage location/user group
If you wish to print out an output immediately
after entering a goods movement, you must set both the time and the instant
printout indicator.
