Confirmation Using The Internet 

Use

You have conducted an on-site check, to ensure that the prerequisites for starting work on assembling the elevator have been met - for example, that all the necessary components have been delivered. You use the Internet to confirm the result of activity 1130 First progress check. Use the search tool in the Internet to find the appropriate network.

Prerequisites

You can only confirm work over the Internet if you are working in an IDES system that is connected to an Internet Transaction Server (ITS). Ignore this activity if you do not have such a system. It is not essential to further processing.

For confirmation over the Internet, an Internet user must be created in the R/3 System, with all the appropriate authorizations. Internet user WF_PS-1 is created for confirmation purposes in the IDES system.

Procedure

  1. Switch to your Internet Browser (for example, Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer).
  2. Access the IDES home page and choose the language you want.

    3. If you do not know the Internet address of the IDES home page, ask your system administrator.

  3. Choose Internal Service.
  4. Choose Management Service.
  5. Choose Projects ® Project Data Confirmation.
  6. Log on as follows:

    8. The Project Data Confirmation screen appears.

  8. Choose Individual Confirmation.
  9. To find the network for activity 1130, enter "Elevator" in the short text field.
  10. Choose Find.

    11. The system lists all the networks whose names begin with the work "Network".

  11. Select the network you want to process from the network list.

    12. The system lists all the activities in the network.

  12. Click activity 1130 First progress check.

    13. The system copies the network and activity numbers into the appropriate fields in the individual confirmation area.

  13. Choose Display.

    14. The system checks the status of the activity. If the status allows confirmation, the right-hand side of the screen shows the activity data requiring confirmation. If it does not, an error message appears.

  14. Enter the following data in the Confirmation section of the screen:

  15. Choose Save.

    16. The R/3 System displays the message Your confirmation was saved and displays the confirmation data in the Confirmation screen area.

  16. Choose Exit to return to the IDES home page.
