Creating Planned Orders

Use

You can use this procedure to create planned orders or have them automatically generated in a campaign to adjust the campaign, for example, for a campaign quantity that has changed.

Prerequisites

If you want default values for the fixed lot size and takt time, you must have maintained this data in the material master (MRP view). Planned orders can be generated automatically based on this data. This may be done, for example, to increase the campaign quantity to the required total campaign quantity.
However, these values can also be determined or changed in the campaign.

Procedure

  1. To change an existing campaign, choose Production campaign -> Change on the initial screen.
  2. The Change Production Campaign: Overview screen appears.

On this screen, you can add orders while creating a campaign.

  3. Choose Plnd ord.
  4. A dialog box appears. Along with information that has already been entered such as the description, material, and plant, the following fields are displayed:

    Prod. version
Enter a production version here if necessary.

    Number of items
This is calculated, based on the fixed lot size (if it has been entered in the material master or campaign), from the difference between the total campaign quantity (Quantity field) and the quantity covered in the campaign (Total items field) by orders.
If either the fixed lot size or the total campaign quantity or neither of them was entered, 1 is suggested as the value.

    Insert from/to
If no item was selected, the validity start and validity finish are suggested here. If an item was selected, the basic start date of the order selected is suggested for Insert from.

    Plnd order profile
Enter the planned order profile for the planned orders to be created here (for example, LA for storage order).

  5. Change or complete the required entries and choose Continue.
  6. The number of items (planned orders) entered are inserted according to the dates entered.

  7. Save the campaign.

Result

Planned orders are now created for the new positions.
