POS Interface Outbound 

Purpose

You use the POS interface - outbound to supply the POS systems in the stores with current data at regular intervals. The following types of data are transferred:

If changes are made to master data, the system prepares the data involved in the form of intermediate documents (IDocs), taking account of the current store assortment, and transfers this to the store systems using application link enabling (ALE). This is usually done in the evening and covers a specific past period (usually a few days).

Implementation Considerations

You need this component if, for example, you used electronic POS systems in retailing.

Integration

In order to use the POS interface - outbound component, you must also use the POS interface - inbound and Retail article master components.
