Taking Account of Changes in the Hierarchy

Use

The interest calculation deals with changes in the work breakdown structure hierarchy differently, depending on the object involved:

The basis values in this account assignment element have an effect on the interest balance shown in a higher-level balancing element.

The next interest run processes the moved object in accordance with its new position. If an interest run has already taken place in the relevant period, you must cancel it. Otherwise, the interest within the period is not uniformly updated per the new item.

The cancellation run recognizes hierarchy changes. The system posts the cancellation according to the hierarchy as it was at the time of the interest run being cancelled. If there has been another interest run since the hierarchy changed, you must cancel this first.

Only the position of the billing element in the hierarchy changes.

The interest posting and cancellation are treated in the same way as for the account assignment element (described above).

The next interest run processes the WBS in accordance with the new structure. If an interest run has already taken place in the relevant period, you must cancel it. Otherwise, the interest within the period is not uniformly updated per the new item.

Cancellation is not possible after the billing element has been changed. If you want to cancel an interest run, you must do so before changing the billing element.
