Excluding WBS Elements From Availability Control
Projects and their WBS elements pass through various phases, called "statuses". Whether or not certain activities can be carried out may depend on the status. You can exclude a budget-bearing WBS element and the account assignment elements subordinate to it from availability control by giving the element a user status which forbids availability control.
When a WBS element has this status, the funds commitments in it are not subject to availability control and no actions are triggered. However, funds commitments continue to be recorded in the controlling element.
