Views and Allocations

The structure overview displays the WBS elements, activities, and activity elements for your project. By selecting the menu options Settings ® View, you can specify how the objects are displayed:

Including objects flagged for deletion

Superior objects when accessing via a subproject

Indicator in the Structure Overview

The structure overview contains several indicators in addition to the objects.

For the WBS Elements

The field L indicates the hierarchy level of the element.

Field S indicates whether the object is subdivided further.

Field Ac indicates whether activities exist for a WBS element.

For the Activities

Field IN indicates activities carried out internally (in-house)

Field EX indicates activities carried out externally

Field SE indicates external services management

Field GCS indicates general costs activities

The indicator AI indicates the allocations and characteristics for the WBS elements or activities. You can call up a specific allocation type or characteristic.

Select Extras ® Display allocation to select the elements. The objects with a corresponding allocation are marked. The following allocation types can be displayed.

Subnetworks

Choose Extras ® Display char., to select the characteristics.

Whether WBS elements are scheduled

Whether the following business data exists for activities:

No capacity
No PReq / RES.
No costing

You want to see whether material was allocated to an activity. By selecting the menu options Extras ® Display allocation, you branch into a selection screen showing the possible allocations. Select Material and choose Continue. On the structure overview, the indicator AI is now selected for the activities to which material is allocated.
