Cost Planning 

Use

Costs and revenues are determined in the project planning board if you have selected the corresponding fields in the table area of the bar chart or cost overview.

Prerequisites

You can specify in Customizing for the Project System whether fields with project costs and revenues are to be displayed in the table area of the bar chart or cost overview. If you then call up a project with the corresponding planning board profile, the costs are determined automatically.

If the cost fields have not be specified in the planning board profile, you can select these fields in the bar chart and/or cost overview.

You display the relevant fields in the table area of the bar chart.

The cost overview displays the cumulative distribution of costs and revenues as the project progresses. The cost overview refers to a selected WBS element or activity. Those costs are evaluated that were selected as fields in the cost overview, for instance planned and actual costs or planned costs and revenues.

In the graphic area of the cost overview chart up to three values can be displayed. If, for instance, five cost fields are displayed in tabular area, only the first three are displayed graphically.

You can access all the cost reports that are in the Project Information System. Choose Extras ® Run cost report, to execute the required report.
