Creating Relationships with Network Graphics

1. To access the network graphic in a standard network or network, choose Goto ® Graphic ® Network structure.

The network graphic appears.

2. Choose Connect.

The mouse pointer takes the form of a pencil.

3. Select the activity from which you want to create a relationship and hold down the mouse button.

A dashed line is shown on the screen.

4. Draw a line to the other activity in the relationship and release the mouse button.

The system connects the two activities with a line and records the relationship type.

The graphic below illusrates how you draw the line to create the different types of relationships.

5. To change the pencil back to the normal cursor, click on the left mouse button.

6. To enter detailed data for the relationship, select the relationship and choose Detail ® Relationship.

7. To create more relationships, repeat steps 3 - 7.

8. To return to the standard network or network, choose Back .

9. Save your data.

Deleting Relationships in the Network Graphic

When you delete relationships, you change the structure of the network. This can affect scheduling and the capacity load.

1. In the standard network or network, choose Goto ® Graphic ® Network structure.

The network graphic appears.

2. Select the relationship you want to delete.

3. Choose Edit ® Object ® Delete and confirm the message displayed.

The relationship is deleted.

4. To return to the standard network or network, choose Back .

5. Save your data.
