Example: Percentage Time Interval

Percentage of the Predecessor’s Duration

Suppose the activity "engineering/design" takes 200 days and is the predecessor of the activity "work scheduling". The time interval is defined as 80% of the duration of the predecessor. When 80% of the duration of the activity "engineering/design" has been reached, the activity "work scheduling" starts. Thus, the time interval between the two activities is 160 days.

Percentage of the Successor’s Duration

Suppose the activity "assembly" takes 50 days and is the successor of the activity "production". The time interval is defined as 10% of the duration of the successor. Thus, the time interval between the two activities is five days.
